If you’re looking for a different kind of Hebrew School in New York experience that is enriching and nurturing, you will find it at The Shul School! Our innovative curriculum for children from 5 years of age through Bar/Bat Mitzvah encourages your child’s spiritual and ethical growth while integrating the creative arts and new technology into their Jewish learning. Several things set us apart from other Hebrew schools in New York:
Our experienced teachers make learning fun! We’re proud that the children in The Shul School come from all kinds of families, and that our teachings work so well for children from interfaith households. We know that our use of email updates to parents and the option of ‘virtual’ parent conferences appeal to many busy families. If you’ve looked into other Hebrew School programs, you will be happy to know another special feature of The Shul School: we are welcoming to 11 and 12 year olds who may not have planned on having a Bar or Bat Mitzvah but would now like to get ready to do so. We will work with you and your child to make this event meaningful and deeply moving. Rabbi Burt meets individually with children in weekly sessions to prepare them for Bar/Bat Mitzvah and he is able to tailor the ceremony to meet your child’s and your family’s needs.
