The Shul Quilt

The Shul Quilt was lovingly designed and sewn during 2007-2008 by members of the Shul community under the direction of Jiro Adachi.  As a backdrop to be displayed at our services, the Shul Quilt serves as a beautiful emblem of our diverse Shul community. The border of the quilt is being created to commemorate and to honor community members, friends and loved ones.  You can become a permanent part of this communal tapestry while border space is available.  The Shul of New York accepts “Gifts from the Heart" donations at three different contribution levels for the quilt border:

A contribution of $180 entitles the donor to a fabric patch on the border of the quilt embroidered with one line of text (up to 32-characters in a line).

A contribution of $360 entitles the donor to a double size fabric patch on the border of the quilt embroidered with one or two lines of text.

A contribution of $540 entitles the donor to a triple-size fabric patch on the border of the quilt embroidered with up to three lines of text.
