Family Services
Our Family Services will resume on October 12, and will be held on the 2nd Friday of each month beginning at 5:30 pm. They will take place at the Hope Martin Studio, 39 West 14th Street, #508. These brief, warm services are led by the Shul School's Aaron Rotenberg. Contact Dara for more info.
Interfaith Relationship Workshop
If you're in an interfaith relationship, planning an interfaith wedding, or already a married interfaith couple, the issues surrounding interfaith relationships can be challenging for everyone. For example:

How do we both continue our traditions and heritage?
What do we do during the holidays?
How do we construct the wedding ceremony?
How do we communicate about our relationship to our family?

The Shul of New York welcomes people of all beliefs, which is why we've become a home for many interfaith couples. With this in mind, we are excited to offer a 6-week workshop for interfaith couples, providing an opportunity for discussing the many issues surrounding interfaith relationships.

The weekly discussion will be led by Rabbi Siegel. In addition, each week one of the couples from our community will join the group to share their story and answer questions about how they've dealt with the many issues of interfaith life.

Six Workshop Sessions, $250 per couple
Next workshops to start late October/early November.
To register, or for more information, please contact Jen.

Shabbat Torah Study
On the second Friday evening of each month at 6:30 p.m., we will as a community meet to discuss the weekly Torah portion from traditional and contemporary perspectives. We will emphasize discovering in the Torah text spiritual insights to guide our lives. Torah study for this year begins October 12 and is held at the Hope Martin Studio, 39 West 14th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, Suite 508.
Two great new classes for adults
January 9: A one-evening Judaism 101 class led by Rabbi Burt will be held on January 9th. The topic is the basic beliefs of Judaism.

Starting January 8: A new Judaism 201 class is set to begin on January 8th. Taught by Rabbi Burt, this is a weekly class on understanding the prayers. Students must be able to read Hebrew. Prospective students can register for the entire 18 week course or for 4 week modules. Please call Rabbi Burt for more information and to register: 212-570-9047.

Continuing Education
For adults who've completed the Bar or Bat Mitzvah, there is a program of continuing education, going further into texts and topics and having lively discussions. This is a great way to continue the experiences and friendships made in the Bar/Bat Mitvah class. We call it "BIMA" for "Bar/Bat Mitzvah Alumni Association."
