Counselors are available to meet people individually who are looking for a job or need new ideas for their job search
Workshops:
September 12 - 10:00 am
Successful Interviewing - Tell them what they want to hear
“So tell me what is your weakness” or “Why should I hire you?” Those are some of the most dreaded interview questions. Don’t let an unexpected question catch you off guard, learn how to answer these questions and more.
September 16 - 10:00 am
Microsoft Word – Working with Documents
Hands-on workshop builds on Word basics topics covering more advanced design and formatting such as bulleting and numbering, text alignment and creating a resume. Computers will be provided.
September 21 - 10:00 am
Open Computer Lab - Use a Computer for Job Search or Improve Skills
At this workshop, come use a computer for your job search or work with our Computer Tutor to improve your Word, Excel or PowerPoint skills. Computers will be provided.

Write a Cover Letter for the Job Description
The purpose of a cover letter is to hook the reader to 1) introduce yourself and your resume, 2) convey your abilities, and 3) intrigue the reader regarding your potential value to their organization. A well written cover letter entices the reader to learn more about you by reading your resume.
Location: Manny Cantor Center – 197 East Broadway
(Workshops are 90 minutes long)
