Tashlich
A Rosh Hashanah Soul Stroll Through Central Park
You are invited to join Rabbi Eva and Friends for a
Rosh Hashanah walk through Central Park
on Monday September 30th at 4pm.
Together, as we prepare for tashlich* we will walk, meditate, learn, sing and connect with the
Holy Presence in Nature. Each person will be provided with a piece of water-soluble paper to
write what they intend to transform in the coming year and cast into the pond. We will
conclude with snacks and breaking bread in community.
When: After Rosh Hashanah services, Monday, September 30th. We will begin at 4:00pm. Please plan to arrive early so that we can begin on time together.
Where: Inside the Central Park entrance at Central Park West and W 72nd St. Map.
Who: Everyone is invited to participate. This is not a strenuous walk, although we will go off the path. Friends and family are welcome!
What to bring: Pen, snack, beverage, an open heart.
What to wear: Comfy clothes and shoes.
There is no charge for this program, but we invite you to make a donation so we can
continue to provide contemplative and Nature-based experiences throughout the year.
* Tashlich means to ‘cast off.’ It is a customary Jewish ritual of atonement performed at a
running body of water on the First day of Rosh Hashanah. For more information, continue reading: https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/tashlikh/
