Family Programs

The Shul of New York’s Family Programs provide a venue for children to learn about Jewish values in a fun, inclusive, and diverse environment. These engaging programs offer children and parents alike an opportunity to get a fresh, modern perspective on Jewish life.

Family Programs emphasize spirituality and tradition to help all kinds of families develop and maintain a strong connection to Judaism. They explore themes through participatory art, music, movement, literature, and more.

The Shul Family Programs are available to all -- you are welcome whether or not you are affiliated with the Shul.  They are designed for families with children from birth to Bar/Bat Mitzvah (age 0-12).

The Shul Family Programs include:  Shul Holiday Celebrations, and our very special Kids' High Holiday Service!

KIDS’ HIGH HOLIDAY SERVICES

For children aged 12 and under are held on the lower level of the beautiful and historic Angel Orensanz Center during the daytime services on both Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.

The Kids' High Holiday program features age-appropriate activities themed around the two holidays. We'll start with all kids together for a short service to learn about and delight in the shofar, followed by fun sing-along music and a live, interactive show.

Kids will be grouped: 3-5 years old, 6-8 years old, and 9-12 years old. Tickets are required.  An adult must accompany children 3 years old and under.

Parents/caregivers do not need a ticket for the Kids' Services.

Kids' High Holiday Service tickets are also available individually for a $36 donation when High Holiday tickets are on sale.

We hope you’ll join us!
